    Cover of the souvenir programme printed for the Cradley celebrations of The Queen's coronation in 1953. The streets involved with this were Colley Lane, Maple Tree Lane, West Road, Barrack Lane, High Street, Church Road, Church Street & Blueball Lane

    Cradley Links is pleased to assist the Overend Methodist Mission in calling for photographs and memorabilia for use at the forthcoming celebration of the Queen's Golden Jubilee


    On the 8th of June, 2002, the Overend Methodist Mission in Banners St, Cradley is holding a community event to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee and the opening of several refurbished rooms at the church.


    The event will take place in Banners Street from noon to 4:00 p.m.


    Three speakers have been invited to say a few words each about their recollections of the Coronation. They include :


    Canon Lewis Davies - vicar of St Peter's in 1952

    Hazel Clifton

    Emily Whitehouse

    Overend Methodist Mission is keen to hear from people who have


    photographs and memorabilia of Cradley street parties in 1953

    anything to do with the Queen's visit to Halesowen in 1957

    photographs and memorabilia of local events from the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977
