    Cradley Links

    Artwork by Arrowsmith

No-one captures the spirit of the Black Country better than the Express & Star's former artist, Arthur Arrowsmith. Nationally and internationally, Arthur is known for hundreds of cartoons which appeared and still appear in tabloids and magazines. But locally he is forever remembered for his stylish, scraperboard studies of scenes in and around the region, published between 1930 and 1975.

Cradley Links wishes to record our sincere thanks to The Express & Star newspaper for their generous permission to reproduce the following Cradley scenes by Arthur Arrowsmith.

The Express & Star is a United Kingdom regional daily newspaper, published in Wolverhampton. It covers an extensive area, including the Black Country.
